The half roll over touch soccer move is a quick and easy dribbling move that's good to include in your collection of ball skills. Like many soccer moves, it requires a bit of practice at the onset but once familiar, becomes simple to execute. Set it up as a drill in practice, or try it with a friend until you have it down and are ready for game time. Here's how to do the half roll over touch soccer move yourself.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Begin the soccer roll over move by using the inside of your leading foot to roll the ball over. Your foot does not leave the ball during the rollover; it's not a tap, but a roll. However, do not roll the ball completely over, but stop when your foot is about halfway around the ball.

  2. Step 2

Use the outside front of your foot to tap the ball back the opposite direction. This should be a quick, fluid movement and not a huge kick but a firm tap that brings the ball back out and moves you away from your opposing defender.

  3. Step 3

Learn the move in both directions with both feet for ultimate flexibility in using the move. If you can do it starting with the inside of your foot, try it using the outside for the roll and then tap with the inside.

  4. Step 4

Dribble the ball after completing the move, or simply pass the ball or take an opportunity to shoot on goal.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep the opposing player from taking the ball by switching up your feet and directions while trying to shake the other player.
