How to Do Top Lunges in Step Aerobics

Step aerobics is a really simple type of exercise that can provide impressive results when done on a regular basis. It is basically just stepping up and down in different patterns to form a step aerobics routine. Step aerobics top lunges are a basic step exercise that really tones the glutes. Here is how to add this simple exercise to your step routine.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Step platform
  1. Step 1

    Start with the step in front of you. Step on it, doing what is referred to in step aerobics as the "basic step." This is done by placing your right foot on the step then the left foot.

  2. Step 2

    From the top of the platform step back with your right foot while bending your left knee. Touch your right toe to the floor.

  3. Step 3

    Now bring your right foot back to the platform. You should have both feet on the platform at this point.

  4. Step 4

    Now step back with your left foot while bending your right knee. Touch your left toe to the floor.

  5. Step 5

    Bring your left toe back up to the step. You again have both feet on the platform.

  6. Step 6

    Repeat this series eight times.
