  • Hot shower
  • dirty garbage cans

  • mildly abrasive sponge

  1. Garbage Can Cleaning- Inside

    • 1

      Remove the liner from the garbage can. Check for any debris that may have fallen from the bag.

      Bring your garbage can into your bathroom and place in your shower. Make sure you close the curtain.

      Pour two to three cups of bleach into the can. Let soak for 10 minutes then fill with hot water. Combining bleach and hot water will make the process easier.

      Pour the bleach and water from the can. Rinse with hot water. Use a toilet scrubber to scrub the bottom of the can.

      Rinse the garbage can and turn upside down to drain.

    Garbage Can Cleaning- Outside

      Wipe the surface with hot water, and scrub with a wet wash cloth or mildly abrasive sponge. Apply baking soda.

      Spot clean hard to clean areas.

      Turn the garbage can upside down. Use a rag to dry. If the rim is dirty, go over it with a wet washcloth.
