Use bleach and water sparingly, as repeated use will age tile and break down its glossy shine. Bleach should be used as an alternative method.

Try to find products that have a non-acidic formula. (For example, vinegar, highly acidic in nature, can ruin the finish of most tiles.) Avoid products that do not offer an acid free formula.

Use a Scotch Bright pad or Scrubby brush to get into crevices between tiles. This, combined with a lot of elbow grease and water, is the best tool for any cleaning project.

Re-tile and re-grout when tile and grout finish appears aged and damaged.
