Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Charter Boat reservations
  • Waterproof sunscreen
  • Dramamine
  • Bottled Water
  1. Step 1

Find fishing boat charters at your favorite north Atlantic seashore town. Ask other people who have been fishing in that town for their recommendation. Check with your hotel concierge or look at brochures in the lobby.

  2. Step 2

Make reservations at least one day in advance. Ask what type of food and beverage is available on board. You may wish to bring your own favorite snacks.

  3. Step 3

Verify that the boat provides all necessary fishing tackle and bait.

  4. Step 4

Pack a small bag with waterproof sunscreen and bottled water. Include motion sickness medications such as Dramamine in case of rough seas. Add a pair of sandals or tennis shoes to wear when you return in case your regular shoes get wet.

  5. Step 5

Dress in multiple layers. Use a waterproof jacket. Wear a hat. You will be prepared for warm or cool weather.

  6. Step 6

Ask the boat charters crew any questions you have about your fishing gear. They know the ropes.

  7. Step 7

Enjoy charter fishing in Maine, Spain, Key Biscayne or anywhere else in the North Atlantic Ocean you choose.

Tips & Warnings
  • Put on waterproof sunscreen every other hour. Do this even if the sun is not out. It will protect your skin from rays deflected off the water.
  • Wear your life preserver at all times.
