Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Money for investment
  • Hours for training
  • Site/Location
  • Managerial skills
  1. Step 1

Initiate a conversation with a Burger King franchise representative. You can call or email them for more information. They will ask you a series of questions including, but not limited to; are you ready to make a decision about the franchise in 60-90 days? Do you have the capital needed to invest? Do you already have a plot of land you're considering? If not, will you be willing to locate one immediately?

  2. Step 2

Next an application will be sent to you. Fill out the application completely and send it back. Once the application has been received and processed by Burger King you will be notified of their decision. If you do not meet their initial requirements you will be politely disqualified. If things look good you will be notified that an interview will be set up.

  3. Step 3

Go to or call in for your interview. Following this the company will go through and check your financial and credit statements. If everything checks out on paper you will be given the go ahead. While this all goes on you will be required to attend 20 hours of initial orientation training.

  4. Step 4

Next you will be put through 4 weeks of training with the sales team. A final interview will be arranged with the Burger King senior management. Following that there will be an additional 11 weeks of training. Then the management will make their decision whether to award a franchise to you or not.

  5. Step 5

If you are given approval then it's time for site selection. If you have a site selected it has to be approved. Once approved construction begins. You will need to be present for some of this and manage the development.

  6. Step 6

Next it's time to sign. Two weeks before opening day you will be given the final franchise agreement to sign. Give Burger King your autograph on the line and you're set. Good luck!
