How to Make Bottle Cap Belts
A bottle cap belt can be a fun and unique item to make for yourself or for others. It's easy, and it is fun to collect all kinds of different caps for this project. Follow the steps below to make your own bottle cap belt. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Beer or soda bottle caps
- Small drill bit or knife
- Wire or metal links
- Pliers
- Belt buckle or clasp

Gather as many bottle caps as you can. You can use pop bottle caps or beer bottle caps, or a mixture of both. Clean them thouroughly, with hot soapy water. Dry completely.

Poke 2 holes through the edges of the bottle caps, directly across from each other, using either a small drill bit or a knife.

Decide how you want your design to be. You can either do a random design or a specific one.

Connect the bottle caps together using metal links or strong wire. For the metal links, you will want to use a small pair of pliers to tighten them together so that they do not fall off. Attach all bottle caps together until the belt fits around your waist.

Attach a belt buckle or small clasp at the end when you are finished. On the other side, attach an extra metal link or wire for something to attach to the buckle or the clasp.
