  • Dirty clothing
  • Box of baking soda
  • Water
  • Small Bowl
  • Small brush or toothbrush
  • White vinegar

How to Remove Stains with Baking Soda

Pour baking soda into a small bowl. Add enough water to make a paste.

Use a small brush or toothbrush to rub a small amount of the paste on the stain.

Use water or vinegar to rinse the baking soda from the stain.

Repeat if necessary.

Launder as usual.

Tips & Warnings

  • Sometimes it also helps to soak the garment in a solution of 1/4 to 1/2 cup of baking soda to one gallon of warm water. Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the soap at the beginning of the wash cycle for added cleaning and brightness.
