Whether it's for Cinco de Mayo, or just Taco Night, a beef and bean hard shell taco fits the bill. In less than 15 minutes, you can make two, tasty, low-fat tacos. Because it's full of protein, these tacos will fill you up. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Hard taco shells (2 shells)
  • Fat free refried beans (half cup)
  • Salsa (2 TBSP)
  • 93% lean ground beef (6 oz)
  • Fat free sour cream (6 TBSP)
  • Fat free cheddar cheese (1/4 cup)
  • Taco seasoning
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Stove
  • Frying pan
  • Can opener
  • Small pot
  • Plate
  • Napkins

Instructions

  1. Tasty Low-Fat Tacos with Beef and Beans

      Put two hard taco shells on a plate.

    • 2

      Put the stove on medium heat and add lean beef. 93% lean or higher is best. Cook a half pound (6 oz).

      Open a can of fat free refried beans. Heat a half cup in a pot on the stove on low heat.

      When the beef is ready, add taco seasoning.

      Place the beef in the taco shells first.

      Layer with salsa.

      Add fat free refried beans.

      Add shredded lettuce.

      Add fat free sour cream.

      Top with shredded fat free cheddar cheese.
