Things You'll Need:
- Pressure washer or a high pressure hose sprayer
- Master Cool evaporative cooler pads
- Screw driver

Step 1
Remove the pad frames.

Step 2
Take the pads from the frames, and lean against a solid object. Avoid landscaping.

Step 3
Hook up your pressure washer or attach the hose nozzle to the hose. Switch to the jet setting.

Step 4
Using the pressure washer or hose, blast water onto the first pad. The water will force the salt build-up from the pad.

Step 5
Using the pressure washer or hose, blast water onto the second pad. The water will force the salt build-up from the pad.

Step 6
Use a screwdriver to loosen crusted salts and stubborn deposits embedded in the pads.

Step 7
Use the high pressure washer or hose for frames that are crusted with salts.

Step 8
Install the pads inside the frames. Put frames back on the cooler.

on 10/23/2008 Has anyone ever heard that adding a little bit of vinigar to the water in your master cool at the end of the summer helps clean and "winterize" the pads?
