Things You'll Need:

  • Driver's license (or other government-issued ID)
  • Social security card
  • Postmarked mail with current address on it.

How to Make Money Giving Plasma

  1. Step 1

Discover where your local plasma donation center is. A quick Internet search will quickly help you to do this. Just input your city's name and the words “plasma donation center” and you should get a list of your local plasma centers with their address and phone number.

  2. Step 2

Call the plasma center and set up a first-time donation appointment. Your first time through takes some extra time since you will need to complete a basic physical as well as fill out some extra paperwork. These appointments fill up fast, so calling will assure that when you go in they will be able to see you and get you set up.

  3. Step 3

Gather together your social security card, a government-issued I.D. and a piece of postmarked mail with your current address on it. Most plasma centers will require all this information before you can donate.

  4. Step 4

The next step is to get ready for the actual plasma donation process. You need to drink plenty of water the day before and they day of your donation. You will also need to eat within three hours of your donation. Being well hydrated will cause the donation process to go quicker when you are hooked up to the plasma machine, and eating will help to prevent any sickness or light-headedness that can happen while donating.

  5. Step 5

Go to the plasma center. They will do a short physical, draw some blood from your fingers to check your hydration and protein levels and then they will take you back to the donation room. You will then proceed through the donation process. They will pay your right there and then. You will be earning quick and easy money in no time, while saving a life at the same time.

Tips & Warnings
  • You are only allowed to donate twice within a 7-day period so plan accordingly. Once you have picked those two days that you donate, you are set on giving on those days. So if you gave on Tuesday and Thursday, you would have to continue donating on those days until you skip a week. After you skip a week you can pick new days again. Center workers do mark your finger with a dye to keep you from cross-donating to other facilities, plus it's just unsafe to cross-donate, so don't try it.
  • If you use drugs or have any type of STDs (especially the HIV virus or AIDS), you should not even attempt to donate. Center workers will still take your blood the first time, but your blood is also tested the first time and you will be banned from donating further if center workers discover any of these situations. You also cannot donate if you participate in any high risk behaviors that can expose you to these situations such as prostitution, drug use, or traveling to specific countries. For more information on restrictions, call your local plasma center.
