Step 1
Pivot on your front foot while raising your back leg.

Step 2
Bring the back leg in front of you, keeping that leg in the air.

Step 3
Keep pivoting and hold your back leg in the air until you reach 180 degrees of your 360 degree turn. If you were in a left front stance facing north, you should be facing west now.

Step 4
Start lowering your back leg once you are facing south or in the opposite direction that you were facing in your original stance.

Step 5
Lower your back foot when you're facing roughly east or to the right of your original stance.

End this motion in your original stance.

Step 7
Practice this motion several times. Your back leg should raise and lower throughout the spin at the same rate.

Step 1
Straighten your back leg.

Step 2
Swing your foot up, across your face, and down. You should be making an imaginary dome or crescent shape in the air.

Step 3
Practice the crescent kick, keeping your back leg straight. The side of your foot should be able to strike a real or imaginary object.

Get into a ready stance.

Perform Steps 1 to 4 of Section 1.

Have your back foot touch the ground early and raise your front leg in the air.

With the front leg in the air, perform Step 2 of Section 2 with your back leg. You should be airborn for a second.

Step 5
While executing the crescent kick, simultaneously lower and land your front foot on the ground. Place all weight on your front foot.

Step 6
Finish the crescent kick with your back leg in front of your front leg. Your back leg is now your front leg.
