Taking surveys can be a great way to make money from home. This article will provide you with instructions on how to get paid to take surveys.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • PayPal account
  • Internet
  • Email
  1. Step 1

First, you need to decide whether or not you want to pay to join survey sites. There are a variety of both paid and free survey sites available.

  2. Step 2

Once you have decided the type of survey sites you are looking for, start your research. Using your Internet browser, type "paid surveys" into the search box.

  3. Step 3

Choose a survey site and click on it. You will want to carefully review the site. Pay special attention to the terms of use section and the privacy information section. Scroll through these sections slowly so you can get an accurate understanding of what joining the site will entail.

  4. Step 4

Write down important information such as how and when you get paid. Some sites will mail you a check for each survey you take, others deposit money into a PayPal account and for others you must accrue a certain amount of money or points in order to get paid. Also pay attention to see if there are any actions required by you to maintain an active membership. Some sites require referrals, while others require opening emails.

  5. Step 5

After you have studied all the site information, open up a separate browser and do some research on the site. See if you can find any feedback by typing the site name. Many times people will post negative experiences with these types of sites which can give you a heads up as to whether you want to join.

  6. Step 6

Sign up the for survey site once you are comfortable with its legitimacy. You will have to fill out a short application and confirm your identity through email. Once you have been accepted, begin taking surveys as they become available to you. The more surveys you take, the more you will get paid.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you thoroughly research the sites you sign up for in order to avoid being scammed.

on 10/10/2009 Who is the company? I had been doing surveys with EDU Research Group found out the site is a scam. Once I make about $70.00, the company came up with a bogus reason, that I had more than one account with them and therefore violated their terms and agreement policy. They and I cannot prove it, they just refused to send my money and immediately stopped sending me surveys. But I would really like to find a honest company to fill out surveys with. Thanks Sheila

on 10/2/2009 Hi all, i've found some great sites which actually pay you good money, instead of points, for completing surveys and reviews. What i also liked was that some of them also have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I know it’s now much, but its something, because I have to stay home anyways taking care of my baby. http://www.cashcrate.com/1381620/3 This website is the best one I found so far for doing surveys and making some money.

on 2/13/2009 Great idea! I have found cash crate to be a good site that pays decently per survey. http://cashcrate.com/1108566Another way is to get paid searching the internet as you normally would. http://www.myhpf.co.uk/banner.asp?Friend=344768It is a good site that partnered with Yahoo! Search Marketing and pays well. However, search normally and do not try to cheat the system, because your account will get canceled.
