Kundalini refers to the static energy that rests dormant at the base of the spine. Through a breathing technique called pranayama, kundalini energy is awakened and works its way upward through each chakra, the seven basic energy centers of the body, to awaken the kundalini life force. The following steps will help you to activate each chakra as you awaken the kundalini. Throughout the exercise, actively breathe in and passively expel the breath out, keep your eyes closed and focus all your attention on each chakra as you move energy up to the crown of the head.
