How to Make Liver Dumplings

Try this tasty liver dumpling recipe with homemade beef soup. It is from an old Polish recipe. For a great appetizer, try wrapping uncooked bacon strips around each one of the dumplings and broil until crisp. Any way you choose to serve the liver dumplings, they are really scrumptious.   • 1 1/2 lbs.of Beef Liver (grind with meat grinder or food processor)
  • 1 Tbsp. of Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of Flour (more or less)
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1 Large Bowl
  • 1 Large Spoon
  • 1 Large Pot of Boiling Water
  • 1 Tablespoon

  1. How to Make Liver Dumplings

      Take the liver out of the container and remove the skin and veins. Grind in a food processor or grinder until the liver becomes thick and pureed. Spoon the liver puree into a large bowl.

      Add the eggs, flour, and salt to the pureed substance. Mix the ingredients well with a spoon.

      Fill a large pot with some water and bring water to a boil.

      Spoon the mixture into the boiling water and boil for 20-25 minutes. Drain the dumplings with a strainer when done.

      Serve the liver dumplings with homemade beef soup.
