Fighting evil by daylight, showing up in countless fan art pictures by moonlight, Sailor Moon, a popular young lady from an Anime of the same name can be a lot of fun to draw. Now, you'll know how.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pencil
  • Paper
  • Pictures of Sailor Moon
  • Eraser
  1. Step 1

Get your paper and pencil set up in a stable, comfortable place. Also bring pictures of Sailor Moon from Manga DVD box covers or the Internet for reference.

  2. Step 2

Draw the body and head using basic geometric shapes such as circles, ovals, rectangles and triangles. This will help you to keep the bodies shape and proportion during the sketching.

  3. Step 3

Using the oval you drew for the head find your mid-lines and taper in the oval from the horizontal mid-line to the bottom of the oval. This should look natural, not a 90 degree angle, and come to a small point at the bottom.

  4. Step 4

Place the ears on the head with the center of the ears at the horizontal midline.

  5. Step 5

Place the nose, in this case a bent line, on the same horizontal midpoint where this midpoint meets the vertical midpoints.

  6. Step 6

Draw eyes. Two large circles with horizontal lines on the sides closest to the nose. Inside that are ovals which house smaller darker ovals. Remember these eyes are big and will go from just below the bangs to the point of the nose.

  7. Step 7

Add eyelashes and a single thin line for the eye brows.

  8. Step 8

Choose your mouth, a closed mouth is a slightly curved line and an open mouth is a triangle point down with a rounded bottom. Other expressions are at your discretion.

  9. Step 9

Add the hair, using the same basic shapes as the body then connect shapes with smooth lines. Erase guide marks and add lighter lines of varying lengths indicating the direction of the hair.

  10. Step 10

Draw the outfit onto the body. Staying with the proportions then erase any body guide lines under the clothing.

  11. Step 11

Smooth the body with flowing lines to connect the guide shapes then erase the guide shapes.

  12. Step 12

    Add jewelry, accessories and shoes.

  13. Step 13

Color your drawing or ink it if you so desire.
