A variation on the knucklecurve, the spike curve is a pitch that tricks batters into thinking you've thrown a poor changeup. It is a fast pitch (just a bit slower than your fastball) that breaks late and hard.

Hold the ball with a 4-Seam Grip.

Tuck your middle and index fingers.

Press the tips of your fingers flat on the ball.

Throw the ball like you're throwing a fastball, just slightly less hard.
