Kids love cooking and making things as much as they love eating them. Here's a fun recipe for butter that your kids can make on their own.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Small baby-food jars with lids
  • Heavy cream
Step1
Find some glass baby-food jars with lids. Make sure that they are sterile.
Step2
Buy some heavy cream.
Step3
Pour the cream into the baby-food jars and seal the lids tightly. Leave about 1/4 inch on top.
Step4
Give one jar to each child. Have your children shake, shake, shake! Before you know it, your cream will have turned into butter.
Step5
Open, and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • After the butter forms, you may add salt to taste.
  • In warm weather, do this outside in the grass or other soft place, in case little hands drop a jar.
