Great tasting food does not have to be difficult to make. This Alfredo sauce is simple, easy and tastes great. Keep in mind this isn't a diet food. However, we can afford ourselves a few indulgences sometimes. In this article we will demonstrate how to make a great Alfredo sauce to go with fettuccine pasta.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 ounces of cream cheese
  • 8 ounces if Fettuccine pasta
  • 3/4 grates Parmesan cheese
  • 1 stick or 8 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of milk
  1. Step 1

Start the Fettuccine pasta boiling. Boil it in salt water until it reaches your desired doneness.

  2. Step 2

Cut up the cream cheese into little squares. This helps it melt more evenly.

  3. Step 3

Put your saucepan on a medium heat. Combine the cream cheese chunks, Parmesan, butter and milk.

  4. Step 4

Stir the mixture together until it is smooth and hot. Do not bring it to a boil.

  5. Step 5

Drain your pasta and toss in with the sauce gently. This recipe may not look like it amounts to much but it can serve 4 people.

Tips & Warnings
  • To add extra flavor, try a pinch of pepper or a clove of garlic. If you enjoy meat, then ham blends itself nicely with this sauce.
