Instructions

    • 1

Warm up your neck. Rotate your neck clockwise and counterclockwise. Tilt your head side to side, bringing your ear to your shoulder. Repeat each warm-up exercise 20 times or as needed.

    • 2

Attach weights to a chain. Make sure the weights are securely attached. Stand or sit with feet shoulder width apart. Put your head into the head strap and move your head against the resistance.

    • 3

Work the back of your neck. Put your head into the head strap. Look at the floor with the weights hanging in front of you. Very slowly lift the weights using both your head and neck. Raise your head by flexing your neck to look forward. Slowly lower your head and neck back down.

    • 4

Work the front of your neck. Get a spot partner to help you. Lie down on a bench with your head and neck sticking off the end of the bench. Ask your partner to help you lift the weights behind you over the bench. Slowly lift your head flexing your neck. Try to reach your chin to your chest.

    • 5

Slowly lower your head and neck back down. Repeat each exercise 10 to 15 times or as needed. Start off with just a few repetitions and work your way up. Use light weights and do more repetitions in the beginning.

    • 6

Lift the head strap off your head. Cool down with movements from step 1.

Tips & Warnings

  • Place a towel under the head strap, because the head strap may dig into your neck and head.
