Brush your Yorkie. The Yorkie's hair is soft and silky; however if not cared for properly it can become matted or tangled. Giving your Yorkie a good bushing is recommended.

  2. Step 2

Bathe your dog. Pour water onto the Yorkie's body, massage him and rinse. Then wash his head and ears and then rinse. Some dogs don't like for their head to be wet for too long so wash the head last.

  3. Step 3

Towel dry your pet and hold him close to your heart. Comforting the dog will help him relax and stop trembling.

  4. Step 4

Grooming: If you can't do it yourself, call a professional.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try not to feed your Yorkie before a bath. Bathe puppies once a month. Yorkies (adults) can be bathed every two weeks.
  • You should always touch the water to make sure it is not to hot. Have clean towels on hand.
