How to Tie Balloon Animals

Rather than spend extra money on hiring a clown for your child's party, making balloon animals is an option that you can do very cheaply. The activity and results are sure to thrill your child, and all the guests of the party will have a fun souvenir.

How to Tie a Balloon Puppy

1. Blow up the balloon halfway, and tie it with a knot.

2. Twist the balloon 2 times creating a 1 inch bubble, grabbing the balloon about 1 inch from the top. Repeat this step twice more, creating a total of three 1 inch bubbles. These will become the dog's ears and head.

3. Twist the last two 1 inch bubbles together at the base. Be sure you twist it around 2 times to prevent it from untwisting.

4. Twist another one inch bubble for the neck at the top.

5. Create two inch bubbles for the legs at the bottom. Twist these together at the base to form the front legs.

6. Twist a 5 inch bubble followed by two more 2 inch bubbles.

7. Twist the last two inch bubbles together at the base to form the back legs. Roll the tail between the back legs to prevent untwisting.

Tips & Warnings

• Be sure you twist all sections at least twice to prevent untwisting.
• Don't tie balloons too close to children. They may pop!
