Strawberry Daiquiris are a delicious and fun way to add spice to any party or function. Fresh ingredients produce a richer flavor than pre-made mixes, and the added nutritional value from the fresh fruit will ease any guilt you may feel about drinking a sugary alcoholic drink. Strawberry Daiquiris are a classic cocktail drink for a good reason – they are great tasting and easy to make.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blender
  • Shaved, crushed, or cracked ice
  • Rum
  • 2-3 ounces sweetened frozen strawberries
  • 2-3 each fresh strawberries
  • 1.0 ounce lemon or limejuice, depending on preference
  • 0.5 ounce strawberry schnapps
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Chilled cocktail glasses
  • Straws
  • Fresh lemon, orange, or pineapple for garnish

How to Mix a Strawberry Daiquiri

  1. Step 1

Collect your ingredients and glasses. Fresh fruit is the key to mixing a delicious strawberry daiquiri, but a mix can be used if strawberries are not in season. Read and follow the directions on the package of mix carefully.

  2. Step 2

Mash the fresh strawberries, and place them into your blender. Add the shaved ice, frozen strawberries, limejuice, strawberry schnapps, sugar, and as much rum as desired. Blend until the mixture is smooth and the ice is no longer in chunks. Be very careful to keep your hand on the blender lid while blending to prevent the vibrations from loosening the top.

  3. Step 3

Pour mixture into pre-chilled cocktail glasses. For a smoother texture, the mixture can be strained prior to pouring. If the drink is too thin, additional ice can be added, either crushed or shaved.

  4. Step 4

Garnish your Strawberry Daiquiris using slices of fresh fruit. Orange and lemon are typical favorites, but pineapple, lime, or any other fruit will do. Place a straw into each glass, and serve cold to guests.

  5. Step 5

If there is any mixture remaining, place it immediately into the freezer. It can then be used to refill glasses throughout your party.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pre-made mixes are generally sweeter than drinks made with fresh strawberries. Adding additional sugar will provide a sweeter drink.
  • A nice alternative to limejuice is pink lemonade.
  • The amount of people this recipe serves depends on many factors, including type of glass used, thickness of drink, and whether the drink is strained or served immediately after blending.
  • To ensure that all of your guests will be able to enjoy your Strawberry Daiquiris, it is a good idea to prepare more than you expect to need.
