How to Make Marsala Glazed Ham

- 1 half spiral cut honey glazed ham (about 4 pounds)
- 4 TBSP marsala wine

How to Make Ham with Marsala Wine Glaze

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Remove all wrapping from ham, and place in 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour about 1/3 cup water into dish. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 325 for about 25 minutes.

Empty glaze package into small saucepan on stove. Add 4 TBSP marsala wine and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for about 30 seconds. Remove from heat.

Take ham out of oven, and remove foil. Use pastry brush to glaze ham with the marsala sauce. Pour any extra glaze over ham. Return to oven and cook another 20 minutes at 325 degrees.

Remove ham from oven, and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Tips & Warnings
Use leftover ham in quiches or scrambled eggs.
Good with green beans, rolls and mashed potatoes.
This recipe uses marsala wine in the glaze, which cuts down on the sweetness and imparts a little bit of a kick.
Don't overcook. The ham is already fully cooked; you're really just heating it up and letting the sauce permeate the meat.
