How to Mix an Absolut Sex Cocktail

Absolut makes many flavored vodkas. For the Absolut Sex you'll require Absolut Kurant.

The Absolut Sex cocktail derives its name from the "Absolut" brand of vodkas. The other half, the "sex" one, comes from the fact that the originators of this drink thought that their product was tasted so good that it was absolutely sexy. Sure, it may just be a cute play on words. But, take one sip of an Absolut Sex and you'll realize that it's also a very good cocktail.

Things You'll Need

• 1 ounce of Absolut Kurant
• 1 ounce of melon liqueur
• 2 ounces of cranberry juice
• 1 splash of lemon-lime soda
• Ice
• 1 rocks glass
• 1 slice of lemon or lime (optional)

How to Mix Up Your Own Absolut Sex

1. Start by filling your rocks glass entirely full of ice.

2. Let the glass chill for several minutes.

3. Pour in the Absolut Kurant and melon liqueur.

4. Stir to combine the ingredients thoroughly.

5. Add the cranberry juice.

6. Stir, once again, to combine.

7. Top the drink with a dash or two of lemon-lime soda.

8. Garnish with a slice of lemon, or lime, if you want a more refined look.

Tips & Warnings

• * The Absolut Sex is a potent, relatively sweet drink. Therefore, it's perfect to make into a martini recipe. Just shake the ingredients in a martini shaker with lots of ice and then strain the mixture into a martini glass and garnish with a twist of lemon or lime.

• * Replace the ice that's used to chill the rocks glass if too much melting occurs before your start to concoct your Absolut Sex. Otherwise, the cocktail will be watered down and won't take on its normal delicious taste.
