How to Email a Picture on Hotmail

Emailing pictures is not only fast but convenient as well. You don't have to worry about postage either. Here are instructions on how to email your pictures using Hotmail.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Hotmail account
  1. Step 1

    Log in to your Hotmail account, and look at the top of the email box. You will see the options New, Delete, Junk, Mark as Unread and Move To. Click on the New option.

  2. Step 2

    Look at the top of the blank email box that opens up. You will see the options Send, Save Draft, Attach, Spellcheck and Set Priority To. Click on Attach and choose the Photo option.

  3. Step 3

    Click OK to begin installation, if you get a message stating that in order to use this program, you need to install Active X Control. Wait for the window to change after installing the software.

  4. Step 4

    Find the list of folders on the left-hand side of the window. When you click on the folders that have your pictures stored, the images will show up on the right-hand side of the window.

  5. Step 5

    Check the box on top of the picture or pictures you want to upload.

  6. Step 6

    Select any of the three options at the bottom of each picture, if you like. You can edit the title or rotate the picture in either direction.

  7. Step 7

    Click on the Upload Now button. This will take you back to the blank email screen. You will see your attachments in the attachment window. Click send.

  8. Step 8

    address your email and send.

Tips & Warnings
  • When preparing to upload pictures to your computer, put them in a folder you will remember so when you are attaching a photo to an email it is easy to find.
