  • 1/2 pound prosciutto
  • 1/4 pound shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry

  1. How to Make Prosciutto Cartwheel Appetizers

    • 1

      Take a thawed sheet of puff pastry dough, and with a rolling pin, roll it out into a roughly 14" by 14" square.

      Layer the pastry with a layer of thin-sliced prosciutto, and cover with a thin layer of shredded provolone. Leave a margin of about 1/2" of dough on the edge.

      Roll the puff pastry, meat, and cheese into a tightly-packed, thin tube. Fold the ends underneath.

      With a sharp knife, cut the tube into 1/2" segments. Lay the segments out on a greased cookie sheet, sliced side down. Leave about 1-1/2" between each segment.

      Put the cookie sheet into a 400-degree, preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool and serve.

  • Need more? Simple roll out another sheet of puff pastry and double the quantities.
