- Veterinarian
-
Step 1
Determine the dog's pregnancy. Contact a vet. Choose one you trust. The vet will be able to recommend medications and give you additional information for a healthy canine pregnancy.
-
Step 2
Pick a de-wormer. Some commonly recommended de-wormers include Panacur, Milbemax and Revolution. Ask your vet about these and any other medications he may recommend.
-
Step 3
Make a decision. Once you and your vet have chosen a de-worming regimen, follow the instructions you have been given. For example, Panacur 22.2 percent needs to be fed to the dog over a course of three days. Following these instructions is essential to a successful de-worming.
-
Step 4
After de-worming your dog, watch her closely for the next day or so. If you notice any strange behaviors or worrisome symptoms, call your vet immediately.
-
Step 5
Avoid flea infestations by making sure you keep the dog yard clean of waste. Also, do not feed a raw diet to your dog during pregnancy.
