Here's how to make a quick and easy meatloaf that will become one of your family's favorites, and you don't have to wait until the weekend to make it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cups Italian salad dressing
  • Bread crumbs
  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Oven-safe casserole dish

How to make a quick and easy meatloaf

Step1
Begin by gathering all the materials needed. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Put your ground beef in the mixing bowl and add the Italian salad dressing. Mix by hand.
Step2
Once ground beef and Italian salad dressing are mixed, add enough bread crumbs to make the mixture hold together. If it is too moist, it will fall apart. If it is too dry with bread crumbs, it will fall apart. To check it, remove a handful and press it together as if you were making a hamburger patty. If it sticks to your hands, it is too moist and more bread crumbs are needed. If it simply falls apart, it is too dry and you should add more Italian salad dressing.
Step3
Once mixture is mixed completely, place it in the casserole dish and form a loaf. Cover with foil and bake about 45 minutes to 1 hour or until juices run clear. Remove from oven, uncover the dish and cover the loaf with ketchup. Place back in oven for no more than 10 minutes.
Step4
Remove meatloaf from oven and let stand covered with foil at least 10 minutes. Cut into slices and serve with your favorite vegetables.

Tips & Warnings

  • Any kind of Italian salad dressing is fine. You may add onions or bell peppers if desired.
  • Don't let the oven get too hot. If the edges of the meatloaf begin to get hard, reduce heat and continue baking.
