Kundalini Yoga is a type of yoga that requires strict physical and meditative discipline. It works to bring the body and mind together while balancing chakras and promoting wellness. Kundalini is practice with bodily postures, movements, utterances and breathing patterns. It is often done with your eyes closed. Kundalini is urged to be practiced with a guide to avoid mental and physical problems, known as Kundalini Syndrome. However, Kundalini can be practiced every day.

    As mentioned before, when starting Kundalini, you must practice with a guide. You can find a guide in your area by looking on the Internet or in a local telephone book. The closer you are to a large city, the more luck you will have finding an instructor.

    After you work with an instructor and feel comfortable, you can work on Kundalini in your own home. There are various web sites that offer videos and texts pertaining to practicing Kundalini on your own. Some of the more informative web sites are kundaliniyoga.org and kundaliniyoga.net.

  3. Step 3

    You can also learn more about Kundalini by using DVDs. By using DVDs, you will have an instructor on TV that will allow you to practice yoga in your own home. I recommend "Kundalini Yoga with Gurmukh" or "Kundalini Yoga for Beginners and Beyond."

  4. Step 4

    You should also have luck at the bookstore or by visiting Amazon to purchase books pertaining to Kundalini. "Kundalini Yoga" by Shakta Kaur Khalsa is a very popular and informative book.
