How to Make a Mojito Drink

Mojitos are a great summertime drink, however, they can be enjoyed year round. The light, crisp flavor has quickly become a favorite among diners and cocktail bar goers. If you’re looking for a great drink to make for your social gatherings that is sure to keep the atmosphere light and friendly, then this is the drink for you. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Gold Rum
  • Lime Juice
  • Lime Slice
  • Sugar in the Raw
  • Club Soda
  • 3 Fresh Mint Sprigs
  • Fork
  • Tall Glass (thinner the better)
  • Spoon
  • Ice

Instructions

    • 1

      Start by taking two of the mint sprigs and crush part of them with your fork inside of the glass. You will want to coat the interior of the glass with the crushed mint sprigs.

      Add 3 tablespoons of lime juice and 2 tablespoons of sugar in the raw, it’s the brown sugar. With your spoon, stir these ingredients for several seconds.

      Top off the glass with ice and then add 2 ounces of Gold Rum to the glass. With your spoon, or other stirrer, mix the ingredients together.

      Make sure that your club soda is chilled before mixing it into the glass. Top off your drink with the club soda, you may desire to give the drink a slight stir to make sure the rum and club soda mix together.

      Add a lime slice to the top of the glass as well as the rest of the mint sprigs.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you don't put too much mint into the drink, as this can overpower the taste.

  • Remember, Sugar in the Raw is the brown sugar, not the white.

  • Always measure out the Gold Rum in your Mojito.
