This recipe is a frozen variation of real Irish coffee. The original intent of Irish coffee was to warm you up and it does, but what about when you don't need warming up and still want a taste of Irish coffee? Add some ice cream and put it in a blender.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 oz. Bushmill's Irish whiskey
  • 6 oz. hot coffee
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup vanilla ice cream
Step1
Stir the brown sugar into the hot coffee until it dissolves.
Step2
Put the ice cream in the blender.
Step3
Pour the Bushmills into the blender and mix for a few seconds.
Step4
Pour the coffee with brown sugar into the blender and blend well.
Step5
Pour into a highball glass and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings

  • This drink will be thinner than a milkshake. If you prefer a thicker consistency, add more ice cream.
  • This drink can be topped with heavy cream or whipped cream.
  • A dash of nutmeg or some grated dark chocolate on top is also delicious.
