How to Do the Mambo Step in Step Aerobics
Adding a mambo step to your step aerobics routine is a great way to insert a little variety into your workout. This dance movement is perfect for step aerobics since the body rocks back and forth in time with the music, and it can easily incorporate the use of an aerobics step.

As soon as the toes of your right foot are firmly planted on the step, lift your left foot and step backward on the floor, with your knees bent and a bounce in your step, while your right foot rocks back, toe to heel.

Once your left foot has hit the ground, bring your right foot down to the floor next to it, and shift to the other side of the aerobics step, this time using your left foot on the step to perform the mambo movement.
