How to Make Healthy Soda

Soda is one of the most popular drinks, especially for children. Unfortunately, this carbonated beverage is often filled with corn syrup and other unhealthy ingredients. In other words, soda isn't necessarily the type of drink you want to be putting into your body. Thankfully though, you can make a healthy homemade version that you don't have to feel guilty about.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 part 100 percent fruit juice
  • 1 part club soda
Step1
Chill juice and club soda. The two ingredients need to be at the same temperature or you will deflate the club soda. This ensures that the healthy soda is nice and bubbly.
Step2
Fill a glass half full with juice. Adding the juice first will also help prevent the loss of carbonation.
Step3
Slowly add the soda. Slowly adding soda to the juice will ensure that your healthy soda doesn't foam up too quickly.
Step4
Gently stir to combine. Stirring your healthy soda to quickly will deflate all the bubbles. There's nothing worse than flat soda, so stir slowly.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can add whatever flavor of juice you prefer.
  • Try combining different flavors of juice for a truly unique combination.
  • Check the nutrition label to make sure you're buying 100 percent juice.
