Many people may think that cooking pork, especially ribs, can be time-consuming and difficult. Cooking pork ribs in the crock pot is a simple way to make a delicious cut of pork. This article will provide a simple, yet delicious, recipe for cooking pork ribs.

Things You'll Need:

  • Pork Ribs
  • Skillet
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Slower Cooker
  • BBQ Sauce (any flavor)
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Juice from one orange

    How to Slow Cook Pork Ribs

  1. Step 1
    Piece of pork ribs (uncooked).

    Select a cut of pork ribs that are to your liking and preference.

  2. Step 2

    Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a skillet. This should be just enough to evenly coat the bottom of the skillet. Once the oil is hot enough (you should she ripples in the oil in the pan), place the piece of ribs in the pan and begin to brown on one side. Salt and pepper lightly. This should take a few minutes.     Pour enough sauce mix in the crock pot to cover the bottom.

    Place browned ribs in the crock pot, and pour remaining sauce over the ribs.

    Turn crock pot to low heat and place cover over ribs.

    Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until meat falls apart easily.

Tips & Warnings
  • For a quick side, open a can of sliced white potatoes. Fry in a skillet with a small amount of butter, and season with seasoning salt.
