How to Lighten Grout Color
Wash the grout area thoroughly and let the grout dry.
Put on gloves before handling grout whitener.
Open the window and turn on a fan to provide proper ventilation.
Apply grout whitener to all grout lines. Dab the sponge with grout whitener so that the grout lightener is fully absorbed by the grout.
Allow the grout lightener ample time to dry.
Wipe the dried grout whitener from the tiles using the paper towels. Use a lot of elbow grease to work on removing the excess grout whitener with the paper towels. The excess should slough off fairly easily and be easy to sweep or wipe up.
Wait 24 hours before getting water on the newly-whitened grout lines.
