How to Use Adobe Photshop cs2

Adobe Photoshop CS2 (Photoshop 9) allows you to enhance your snapshots. The program has many helpful features. It enables you to do anything from add simple borders to blur and distort your images. Here are some tips to perform several of the most common program functions.

    Using Adobe Photoshop CS2

  1. Step 1

    Click “File” then click “Open” to select the photo you would like to edit.

  2. Step 2

    Select the crop tool from the toolbar on the left hand side of the window. It resembles a square with a line striking through it. With the crop tool selected, use your mouse to choose the area of your photo which you would like to crop. Once the area is selected, right click and choose “crop” from the drop-down menu of options.

  3. Step 3

    Choose “Image” from the top tab to convert your picture to black and white. Next click “Mode," and select “Grayscale” from the list of options.

  4. Step 4

    Click “Select” then choose “Select All." Now choose “Select” again. Click on “Modify." Choose “Border” from the options. Now type in the number for how large you would like your border to be and click ok. You have just successfully added a border to your image.

  5. Step 5

    Pick the lasso tool from the left hand side toolbar. Use your mouse to select the object you would like to isolate in your picture with the lasso tool. Right-click to select it when you are finished. You can now move the object, duplicate the object, or cut it out of the picture completely.

  • Photoshop CS2 has many more interesting features. Spend some time familiarizing yourself with the user interface.
