How to Make Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats
Rice krispie treats are as much an American past-time as macaroni and cheese and hots dogs. The simplicity of this tasty treat along with its kid-favorite appeal is much to be desired. The traditional rice krispie treat has been reworked into a million different concoctions from chocolate treats to holiday cut-outs. A family favorite is the peanut butter and butterscotch flavored rice krispie. These peanut butter treats are as sweet and rich as a candy bar. Their flavor is so intoxicating, in fact, that you may have to hide them away or they’ll disappear before you’ve had a chance to try one for yourself. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings

Once you remove the heated Karo and sugar from the stove, work quickly, because the cooler it gets the less pliable it will be.
Make sure to temper the chips slowly. DO NOT leave them in the microwave for longer than 20 minutes at a time during melting.
