This sweet Hawaiian treat is sure to become your new favorite summer drink. Some of the ingredients may not be in your home bar or local hangout, but they can be found at most large liquor stores and bars. If you have trouble finding Orgeat Syrup there are even many recipes to make it available online.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup Ice
  • 1 1/2 oz. Orange Juice
  • 1 oz. Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 3/4 oz. Orgeat Syrup
  • 1 3/4 oz. Dry Gin
  • 3/4 oz. Brandy
  • 3/4 oz. White Rum
  • Highball glass
  • Dash of Almond Extract

    How to make a Scorpion

  1. Step 1

    Put ice in blender. If you're using cubes, you will need to add them a few at a time, and crush until you have one cup.

  2. Step 2

    Pour all three juices into the blender.

  3. Step 3

    Pour brandy, gin and rum into the blender.

  4. Step 4

    Add Orgeat Syrup and blend until smooth.

  5. Step 5

    Pour into a highball glass full of ice.

  6. Step 6

    Add a dash of almond extract on top.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may garnish with a wedge of orange, pineapple, or even a Hawaiian flower.
  • For a little extra decoration, sprinkle very few shaved almonds on top.
