Steaming is an easy and efficient way to prepare lobster tail. Learn the step-by-step process to get great lobster every time.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lobster tails
  • Double boiler or large pot and colander.
  1. Step 1

    Fill the pot with water, about halfway. Bring to a boil and fit the top of the pot with the steam chamber or steam basket, or use a colander.

  2. Step 2

    Place lobster tails in upper part of double boiler. Cover with lid.

  3. Step 3

    Steam lobster tails for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the steamer and rinse in cold water.

Tips & Warnings
  • If using frozen tails, make sure they are completely thawed before cooking.
