Different Ways to Prepare King Crab Legs

  1. Step 1

Boil them. Take a large pot of cold water and bring to a boil. When the water is ready, add the crab legs to the pot and boil for 15 to 20 minutes, or longer if you have more than 5 pounds of crab legs.

  2. Step 2

Grill them. Heat your grill to medium high and brush the surface with olive oil or butter. Place the crab legs wit the top of the shell (red side) facing down. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, turn over and cook an additional 5 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Steam them. Like boiling, steaming is an excellent way to prepare crabs. Use a double boiler and steam for 15 minutes or until cooked through.

  4. Step 4

Microwave them. Put crab legs in a microwavable container and add one tablespoon of water per pound of legs. Microwave on high for 3 or 4 minutes per pound of legs.

Tips & Warnings
  • If using frozen crab legs, make sure they are completely thawed before cooking.
