3. If you decide to proceed with veneers, determine your method of payment. Many dentists offer payment plans for your convenience.

4. The procedure begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your teeth, the color and any problems that may need to be addressed before application of the veneers. Your dentist may also prepare your teeth at this visit. Because this often requires filing the teeth down a bit, anesthesia may be used.

5. Your dentist will make an impression of your teeth which will be used to make the veneers.

6. In about a week, you’ll return to the dentist and the veneers will be applied.
