  1. How to take a Tequila shot

      First off, pour the tequila into the shot glass.

      Like the back of the hand to add the salt and have a slice of lime ready.

      When taking the shot, like the back of the hand with the salt on it first. This prepares the pallet for the tequila.

      After the salt breath out in on short breath and take the tequila shot. Once the shot has gone down, take another deep breath in. This makes it easier for the shot to go down and not get the tequila into the airways.

      Once you breath out, bite and suck into the slice of lime. This will add more flavor and help the tequila experience.

Tips & Warnings

  • This is one of the more traditional ways to take a tequila shot and the breathing helps newcomers handled it easier without choking. If you don't like limes, try a lemon instead.
