Things You'll Need:
- A full-length mirror
- A level
- Industrial strength Velcro
- A pencil or pen
- A friend
-
Step 1
Choose a place to hang your mirror. There's really no tried and true way to do this, it's an individual decision. Some of the most common places for a full-length mirror are the back of a closet door or the back of the bathroom door, but the mirrors can be hung anywhere you desire.
-
Step 2
Ask someone to hold the mirror up for you and step back about a step and a half from where the mirror will be hanging and check to see if you can see both your head and your feet. Adjust accordingly
-
Step 3
Mark your chosen height lightly with a pencil at the top edge of the frame. Make sure the mark is dark enough to be seen but light enough that when you erase it you won't remove the paint.
-
Step 4
Following the package directions, place the industrial-strength Velcro along the top edge of the mirror, about half way down both sides and at the bottom of the mirror leaving the paper on the back of the Velcro that will be stuck to the surface.
-
Step 5
Take the mirror to where it’s going to be hung, and remove the remaining paper from the back of the Velcro.
-
Step 6
Line the top of the mirror up with the mark you made earlier, and use the level to make sure the mirror is straight before pressing the mirror surface.
-
Step 7
When the mirror is level, firmly press the it to the surface, paying special attention to the spots where the velcro comes in contact with surface.
