Step 1
Pick a wedding date. Before you begin making wedding preparations, choose a wedding date. Take into consideration the money you’ll spend on airfare and hotel accommodations. Therefore, it may be best to pick an off-season date.
-
Step 2
Choose a Las Vegas wedding chapel. If possible, visit a few wedding chapels in person and check out the location. Chapels are located throughout the strip and many hotels feature an on-site chapel. Request a wedding package and compare prices.
-
Step 3
Speak with a wedding coordinator and book the chapel. Once you’ve decided on a date and a chapel, now’s the time to reserve the chapel and plan the wedding. Hire a wedding coordinator to plan the event, or handle the details yourself.
-
Step 4
Find a wedding reception location. With so many hotels and restaurants located on the main strip, it’s easy to find a reception site. In fact, a few chapels feature a small reception room. Pick a caterer, decorator, music DJ and wedding cake designer.

Step 5
Book your hotel reservation and plane ticket. Be sure to book your hotel reservation and plane ticket in advance. Obtain group hotel rates and provide out of town guests with the hotel’s reservation number. Plan to spend your honeymoon night in a different hotel.

Step 6
Get a marriage license. Apply for a marriage license once you arrive in Las Vegas. The Clark County Courthouse is located downtown.
