Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Work history
- Educational history
- References
Step1
Capitalize on your skills by listing them first. Bypass the traditional objective line and list any skills you have that are relevant to the job. For example if you have management or supervisory experience list it at the top so that it’s one of the first things hiring managers see.
Step2
Write using action words. Use words such as utilized, developed, evaluated, marketed, and facilitated when describing your job experience.
Step3
Keep it simple when highlighting your job experience. Don’t include every single thing you were in charge of. Pick the best and use them to describe your work history.
Step4
List your educational experience. If you have a degree in management or business be sure that you let the employer know. You also may want to include any organizations you were involved in especially if you have little work experience.
Step5
Avoid personal references and choose professional references. You can use past supervisors or employees that have worked under you for references. Just be sure to include contact information and let them know they could receive a call about you.
