Adding decorative beads to your mosaic project is a great way to incorporate different colors and textures. Once you've completed your mosaic artwork, you can add beads around the edges or to specific spaces between the tiles you've left blank. Beads should be applied before grouting the tile.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Decorative Beads
  • Craft Glue
  • Tile Grout
  1. Step 1

Prepare and choose your beads. After completing your mosaic, wait at least 24 hours for it to dry. This will make adding beads much easier and prevent the tiles from moving.

  2. Step 2

Using a strong craft glue or tile adhesive, place a generous amount on the empty space where the bead will go. The amount of glue you use will depend on the size of the bead.

  3. Step 3

Place the bead on the glue and press firmly.

  4. Step 4

If using beads to frame your mosaic, make sure to leave enough room between each bead for the grout. When rounding the corners, make sure beads do not hang over the edge as this will make starting the next row difficult.

  5. Step 5

Allow the beads to dry fully before applying grout.

Tips & Warnings
  • Complete your mosaic first and use the beads to add a decorative touch.
  • Beads can be any shape you desire - round, flat, square-shaped, large or small.
