Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Nonstick frying pan or skillet
  • No-stick cooking spray
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Toppings (optional)

    How to Bake Pancakes

  1. Step 1

To make eight pancakes, mix 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 cups milk, 2 large eggs (beaten), 1/3 cup melted butter, 2 tbsp granulated sugar, 2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt in a large bowl. Mix until blended.

  2. Step 2

Preheat a nonstick frying pan or skillet to about 350°F, and spray it with no-stick cooking spray. Pour approximately 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan or skillet per pancake.

  3. Step 3

When the edges look dry and the middle is bubbling, flip the pancake and brown the other side (approximately 1 or 2 minutes).

  4. Step 4

Once cool, top the pancakes with maple syrup, butter, fruit, nutmeg, powdered sugar or other favorite toppings. Serve and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • In a hurry? Try a pancake mix. Powders generally require the addition of some combination of water, eggs and vegetable oil; ready-pour liquid mixes require no extra ingredients.
  • Be sure to keep the stove at the recommended temperature and shut it off when finished.
  • Do not eat pancake mix before it is cooked; raw egg can make you or your assistant chefs sick.
