  • lemon juice
  • orange juice

How to Cook Beef Ribs in the Oven

  1. Step 1

Luckily in most stores beef ribs are not that expensive at all. Make sure you check them out before you buy them. They should have more meat than fat, and the ribs should have at least 8 to 10 ribs on each slab.

  2. Step 2

The night before you are going to cook the beef ribs, place them inside a sealed container with one cup of vinegar, one cup of orange juice and one cup of lemon juice. Let them sit until your ready to cook them. This mixture will allow the meat to tenderize as well as obtain great flavor.

  3. Step 3

Now that your ready to cook, take the beef ribs out of the mixture and place them on a clean surface. Get out your salt and pepper and generously season both sides of the beef ribs. Rub it into all the crevices you can see.

  4. Step 4

Now get your can of tomato paste and empty it into a bowl, add 6 spoonfuls of honey and mix well. Spread the mixture all on the ribs. Wrap beef ribs up in heavy duty tin foil and place inside your pan. Be sure that you have the lid on the pan. Put inside oven at 450 degrees for 45 minutes and then place on 200 degrees for three hours. Do not bother or open tin foil. Leave alone until done.

  5. Step 5

Now once the three hours and 45 minutes has passed, turn off the oven and take the pan out. Place on top of the stove and let rest for at least 30 minutes. Do not take the lid off until the meat has rested. Once 30 minutes has passed, open up the tin foil and place ribs onto plate. Be careful -- they might fall off the bone. Make side dishes, serve and enjoy !

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to follow all steps.
  • Do not open lid or tin foil while cooking.
  • When opening tin foil be careful of the steam. Use two forks to open it up.
  • When taking meat out of pan, be careful of it falling off the bone, this could burn you or someone else.

on 8/14/2008 I had herad that beef ribs had a tendency to be tough, so I liked the marinade to make them tender. I really liked this simple way to cook Beef Ribs, as I have never cooked them before! The ingredients were something I already had in my kitchen, so the recipe was quick and simple to follow! Thanks!
