Beef shoulder fillet is a unique dish that will thrill the taste buds of those that you serve. It does take a little longer than a normal dish to prepare, but it is well worth it. Besides, as you wait,,you can prepare side dishes that compliment the main dish. Below you will find the best way to cook beef shoulder fillet.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 5-6 Pound Fillet
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Heated Cognac
  • Chopped Parsley
  1. Step 1

    Gather your ingredients, and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

    Rub the beef shoulder fillet with a lot of oil. Sprinkle it then with freshly ground pepper.

  3. Step 3

    Place the fillet in a roasting pan, and put it in the oven.

  4. Step 4

    Cook it for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. You can continue to rub it a few times with oil if you prefer. The thermometer should read 120 degrees for rare. Cook it longer if this has not been reached.

  5. Step 5

    Salt the roast again if you like. Let it rest for ten minutes before moving it to the hot platter.

  6. Step 6

    Heat the cognac. Blaze the filet with the heated cognac and sprinkle with parsley.
